Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

First, we’ll go through the ingredients. Then, once you have everything from the list, proceed to the instruction and learn how to make our easy pumpkin cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients

Homemade Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun Rolls on a Plate

The Dough

  • 4 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp Yeast (quick rise)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp Pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • One egg

The Filling

  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2/3 cup Dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Ground cinnamon

The Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • Salt

Instructions

Step 1

First, you’ll need to warm the milk. Leaving it in the microwave for 45 seconds will get it to the required 110 degrees F.

Then, add the milk and the sugar into a mixing bowl. Add the yeast on top, then stir with pumpkin puree, egg, and melted butter. Once you’re done, the mixture will be creamy and well combined.

Then, you can add the flour, salt, and pumpkin spice. Using a wooden spoon will do the trick this time. Once the dough starts to form, proceed to step 2.

Step 2

It’s time to knead the dough. Either use the hook on your mixer or do the job with your hands. We don’t mind either method as long as the job gets done.

Step 3

Grease a large bowl with olive oil, add the dough inside, and cover everything with plastic wrap. You’ll need some patience now. The dough needs about an hour to double in size, and that’s what we’re waiting to see.

Step 4

Once the dough is ready, transfer it to a floured surface and start rolling. A 14×16-inch rectangle is what you should be aiming for if you’re following our instructions precisely. And when you’re finished, spread butter over the rectangle.

Step 5

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then spread it over the dough. Make sure the butter and the cinnamon are mixed together.

Step 6

Start from the smaller side and roll the dough. The key is to ensure the edges stay sealed. This recipe will give about 12 rolls, and your goal is to make them as even as possible.

Step 7

Since it’s almost time for baking, you can start placing the rolls in a pan. Cover everything with plastic wrap and a warm towel, and let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.

Step 8

You can preheat the oven while waiting for the dough to be ready. Set the oven to 350 degrees F, and give it a few minutes.

Then, place the pan inside the oven, and bake for about 25 minutes. After a few tries, you’ll know when the rolls are ready without a timer.

Step 9

Making the frosting is the only thing left to do. Mix all of the ingredients and make sure they combine.

Then, spread it over the rolls, and that’s it. You’ve made your first batch of fall cinnamon rolls.
